ArtistsÂ
We believe everyone has the right to art in their lives.
Through artists we work, engage and co-create with our underserved communities, accessing the transformative power of art and heritage. Our Big Picture is based in a historic Grade 2 listed building on Grimsby High Street in NE Lincolnshire. This early Georgian building has its roots in the early 1700s, with evidence of a live/workspace dating back to the 13th century as part of the old marketplace. Inspired by our rich heritage, we have transformed this space into a unique and innovative arts and heritage venue, that honours its historical significance while fostering creativity and cultural enrichment in the town centre.
We are looking for experienced artists to submit an Expression of Interest to support the delivery of a series of diverse workshops.
We are looking for artists from a range of practices that may include traditional crafts, digital and combined arts and have experience of working with children, young people (CYP) and adults. Projects include a Creative Workshop programme with communities affected by war and conflict, the Imaginarium Programme focussing on skills development and community arts in various settings.
Projects are ongoing throughout 2026-2027 with the potential for an immediate start.
Please send examples of work, CV/artists profile and covering letter siting any projects you have been involved with that you feel showcase your skills.
Budgets will be discussed following the expression of interest.
Please submit examples of work and CV/covering letter to Jo Shaw: obpteam@ourbigpicture.co.uk
For an informal chat about any of the opportunities please do get in touch with Jo on the email above.
