We will continue to make a positive impact on the region’s developing sector, supporting practitioners and strengthening communities in Grimsby and North East Lincolnshire through our bespoke venue.
Our NEW ‘Nurture & Thrive’ programmes of creative activities encapsulate the creative processes of co-curating and co-commissioning and what this looks like for our underserved communities and minority groups. Whilst ACE Capital Investment Programme works takes place at our venue, we are seeking and work in new ways with key partners.
“Nurture & Thrive” programme is designed to support our communities and minority groups, developed from pilot activities and participant feedback from children and young people (CYP), adult art and early career professional creatives, we have identified two key strands for this project:
1. NURTURE for Young Creatives – An innovative cultural program for young creatives aged 7–16, providing a safe
space to amplify young voices. FREE unless stated and includes:-
IMAGINE CLUB: Weekly artist-led sessions to inspire creative thinking,
exploring new techniques, disciplines, and themes
Age: 7–12 years
⭐️Last weekend we asked our young creatives from the Imagine Club what they like the most and why they come back week after week. We had some wonderful responses but this one from Rose hits hard, we are very aware how little access to arts children and young people have at school. We are incredibly proud to be able to offer FREE arts and heritage opportunities for our brilliant young creatives and nurture their talents from a young age! We loved watching them thrive, not just in artistic ability but confidence in themselves and their abilities to do ‘almost anything’ ⭐️

You’ll be encouraged to explore creative learning techniques while working on projects including costume design, stop-motion animation, zine making and exploring dreamscapes!
