The Feminine Urge exhibition brings together a collective of female artists in the Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire region who are unified by the visual and cultural role of femininity in art.

The exhibition explores a range of artistic practices from traditional illustration to contemporary rug tufting, highlighting the historical scope of female led art.

With themes of dark femininity, gender, nature, female rage, loss, and beauty, The Feminine Urge will invite you to consider how women both make and participate in artistic practice – and why female artists should be central to our artistic landscap
